Port Gdynia chose a new cereal terminal operator

The Port of Gdynia and the SBT consortium signed a preliminary agreement regarding the 30-year lease of the Baltic cereal terminal. The document was forwarded to the Ministry of Infrastructure to obtain the necessary consents. The consortium consists of: Szczecin Bulk Terminal, Tapini and Ribera. Earlier, a letter of intent was signed with Mondry to secure the situation of the terminal employees. About 30% of the export of Polish cereals pass through the port of Gdynia.

The first turbines on the Baltic Power wind farm already installed

Orlen and Northland Power installed the first of 76 turbines on the Baltic Power sea wind farm, which is planned for 2026. The farm is to cover about 3% of the domestic energy demand and produce 4000 GWh per year. The installation is made by a specialized Jack-Up ship, and some components are created in Poland, including in Szczecin and Łeba. This is the first maritime wind farm in Poland, which is to reduce CO₂ emissions by 2.8 million tons per year. The project is a key element of the Orlen strategy towards the country's energy transformation and energy security.

PLO focuses on the logistics of state concerns and offshore energy

In the report on activities, Polish Ocean lines indicate development towards logistics service of state concerns such as Orlen, KGHM and Grupa Azoty. The company also plans to involve the construction and operation of wind farms. POT is considering buying a new multi -purpose ship and the development of cabotage and close range navigation, which can revive the ports in Kołobrzeg and Elbląg. Shipping remains the main area of ​​activity-currently POOs have two RO-RO ships. The company also conducts supply, crewing and hotel-gastronomic activities.

The renovation Shipbuilding launched a hybrid ferry

On July 4, a hybrid passenger and cargo ferry for the Norwegian shipowner Torghatten Nord AS was launched in the renovation Shipbuilding SA. The unit will support the connection of Stornes -Bjørnerå in the Troms region, and its design is adapted to the difficult conditions of the Arctic Circle. Watering was of a technical nature and took place using a floating dock. Work on the ship is completed in 80%, and port tests are scheduled for September. This is the ninth ferry built by the Gdańsk shipyard for this shipowner.

Delegation of the Ministry of National Defense with a visit to the PGZ war shipyard

The delegation of the Ministry of National Defense with the Secretary of State Cezary Tomczyk visited the PGZ War Stock in Gdynia to read the progress in the construction of the frigate of the "Miecznik" program - ORP Wicher, ORP Burza and the planned ORP Hurrican. The modern infrastructure of the plant was also presented and its role was discussed in the modernization of the Navy. During a visit to the Gdynia War Port, the condition of the naval forces and the "Orka" submarine program was also discussed. Currently, the only active submarine is nearly 40-year-old ORP Orzeł. The selection of the contractor for the "Orka" program is to take place by the end of 2025.
