President of the Port of Gdańsk Authority SA, Ph.D., professor at the University of Gdańsk, head of the Department of Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, chairwoman of the Maritime Law Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences and editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "Prawo Morskie" PAN.
Conducts interdisciplinary research on the compliance of national law with international law, focused on the effective implementation of law in practice. Her scientific achievements include works in the field of maritime law, the law of the sea and the law of marine environmental protection and sustainable development.
In the years 2013-2015, appointed as Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy, and then in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, she was responsible for maritime economy matters. In the years 2018-2021, she managed the international project SEAPLANSPACE - Maritime spatial planning instruments for sustainable sea management implemented under the European Union Interreg South Baltic Program 2014-2020.
