He graduated from the Conradinum Shipbuilding Technical School, the Naval Academy, the Gdańsk University of Technology (Ship Institute) and specialized postgraduate studies.

He served in the Polish Navy from 1965 to 2004 in technical services related to technical progress, design, construction and operation of ships, ending his service as the Chief of Logistics of the Polish Navy.

Since 2004, he has been working at the Polish Register of Shipping, where until 2018 he was the Director of the Industrial Supervision Division and the Head of the Warships Inspectorate, and currently he is the Head of the Warships Supervision Service - Deputy Director of Ships. He represented the Polish Navy since 1995. at meetings in NATO technical structures. He represents PRS in the International Naval Safety Association (INSA) - the military equivalent of the IMO and in the Association for the Classification of Warships of NATO Maritime States (NSCA) - the military equivalent of IACS, also representing the Polish Navy until 2012. He was a representative of the Polish Navy and PRS in the NATO maritime group for ship design (NG/6, MCG/6 and SD CG) and participated in the work of its specialist teams. He introduced the Polish Navy and the Polish Register of Shipping to the above-mentioned structures, giving the represented entities the status of co-founders of the organization. A long-time member of the Scientific Council of the Research and Development Department of the Ship Technology Center, the Technical Council of PRS, the Supervisory Board of the Military Shipyard of the first term, a lecturer of postgraduate studies at the Academy of Warsaw and the Academy of Fine Arts in the field of architecture and design of warships. Author of many studies and design standards, as well as design regulations and guidelines. Participant of numerous conferences, meetings and seminars devoted to, among others: development of military naval technology for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces.

He participated in the implementation of many modernizations and reconstructions of ships, as well as research and development work for the Polish Navy, as well as in the design, construction and supervision of many warships, including type 888 training ships, ORP "kadm. X. Czernicki", OTRM type 767, 206FM, ORP "Ślązak", Kormoran type minehunters, B-860 tugboats and many other units.

He has been cooperating with and supporting MTG for many years, particularly involved in the organization of the BME fair and the accompanying conferences, including NATCON and others, from the very beginning. Member of the Baltexpo Program Council.
