He is a graduate of the Faculty of Navigation and Naval Armament of the Naval Academy in Gdynia. He was promoted to officer in 1997. After graduating from the university, he served in the 9th Coastal Defense Flotilla in Hel. Later he was sent to serve in the newly established Department of Armament Policy of the Ministry of National Defense. Since 2011, when the Armament Inspectorate was established, later transformed into the Armament Agency, he has been associated with this institution. He held a number of positions there, up to the Head of the Maritime Technology Department, a position he holds to this day.
In his official activities, Cmdr Piotr SKÓRA is responsible for acquiring, among others: serial copies of KORMORAN II-type Mine Destroyers, DELFIN radio-electronic reconnaissance ships, MIECZNIK frigates, the RATOWNIK rescue ship, MJR Naval Missile Units and a number of other vessels and military equipment intended for the Polish Navy.
