He is a homegrown of Piotr Soyka, who as the chief director of the Gdańsk Remontowa Shipyard, accepted him to work in 1995.
Master of the engineer, a graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology, began his first job after graduation with a production internship as a ship's fitter and ship equipment. In 1998, he became the youngest manager in the history of the shipyard, embracing the pipes department, and then managed the shipyard gym department.
Then he was promoted to the position of the head of production, and then - deputy director of the General Production. From 2007, he was the deputy general director for logistics, and later - production director.
In 2011, Adam Ruszkowski was appointed to the board of the Gdańsk Shipyard Remontowa J. Piłsudski SA, in which he was responsible for the performance, covering the sphere of production management, cooperation and logistics of all projects of renovation and reconstruction of ships implemented in the shipyard. At the same time, he deepened knowledge in the field of finance and improved skills in cooperation with financial institutions. He also served as the chairman of supervisory boards in many companies of the Remontowa Holding Capital Group.
In 2017, the Supervisory Board of Gdańsk Shipyard Remontowa J. Piłsudski SA appointed him to the president of the board of the shipyard.
In 2018, he became the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Remontowa Shipbuilding SA, and in 2019 - entered the supervisory board of the Gdańsk Shipyard Remontowa J. Piłsudski SA was one of the closest associates of President Piotr Soyka, also working in Remontowa Holding SA as the director of supervision over the companies.
On September 30, 2020, the Remontowa SA supervisory board appointed him as the president of the company's management board. In December of the same year, Adam Ruszkowski was also elected President of the Association of Employers of the Ship Forum.
