Presentation outline - what will we talk about?

The coastal zone is characterized by significant hydrogeological diversity, which determines the availability and size of exploitable groundwater resources. The presentation will discuss the conditions of occurrence and threats to groundwater resulting from the pressure of natural factors and human activity. Particular attention will be paid to the salinization of coastal aquifers. The role of long-term hydrogeological monitoring as a tool supporting spatial planning and the protection of water resources in the coastal zone will also be presented.
