The coastal zone is an area of exceptional natural, social, and economic value, yet one that is also subject to increasing investment pressure. This presentation will focus on the interrelationships between investments and the coastal system – both the impact of morphological and geological conditions on infrastructure and the impact of investment activities on this sensitive area. Key challenges related to spatial planning and the need to incorporate natural hazards into decision-making processes will be discussed. The aim of the presentation is to emphasize the importance of a sustainable approach to coastal development, taking into account its geological characteristics.
