The first monopiles for the Polish Baltic Power wind farm were shipped from the factory to the installation terminal on Bornholm. The production of monopiles began in January 2024, and they are scheduled to be transported to the installation site at the beginning of next year. A total of 78 monopiles will be produced, two of which will be used for marine power stations, and the rest will constitute the bases for wind turbines. The Roenne port on Bornholm will act as an installation base for Baltic Power, as the Polish terminal in Świnoujście may not be ready yet.

The Swedish Maritime Administration has ordered an EF-12 pilot boat from Artemis Technologies, equipped with a fully electric drive, making it one of the first units of this type. This investment aims to increase the organization's involvement in the decarbonization of the maritime industry, including port activities. The Artemis EF-12 will be the first vessel of its kind to be used in Swedish ports and is scheduled to begin operations in spring 2026. The boat will be equipped with hydrofoil technology, which will allow it to float above the water, eliminating water resistance on the hull. This solution is intended to optimize energy consumption, increase speed and reduce noise during operation.

The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority announced that work is underway on the construction of an installation terminal for offshore wind farms in Świnoujście. The project, implemented by Orlen Neptun, is to be completed in early 2025, which will make it the first terminal of this type in Poland and one of the most modern in Europe. The investment is divided into several stages starting in 2023. The onshore terminal is being built on an area of almost 20 hectares, where key parts of offshore wind turbines, such as towers, blades and nacelles, will be transhipped and stored. First, the terminal will be used to install components of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm, built by Orlen and Northland Power, and then will support the implementation of subsequent projects.
