Construction of a training center for the offshore industry began.

The Danish company Relyon is developing in Poland, building a modern training center with a swimming pool for the offshore sector in Gdańsk, which will open in the second quarter of 2025. The Center will offer a number of certified programs by GWO and Irata, responding to the growing demand for qualified employees in the renewable industry. The center aims to improve the qualifications of specialists and improve the quality of training.

PFR and Baltic Hub support changes in the Polish energy sector in the Baltic region.

Baltica 2 maritime wind farm is an important project for Poland's energy transformation, strengthening its energy security and developing marine potential. The investment will provide green energy for around 2.4 million farms and is supported by the Polish Development Fund (PFR) through terminal 5 (T5) in Baltic Hub. The construction of Baltica 2 will last until 2027, and the Polish Energy Group (PGE) and the Danish company ORsted are involved. T5 terminal, with a length of the quay of 800 meters, will be crucial for mooring ships and operating wind turbines. In January 2025, an important stage of construction was completed, and the planned completion of the investment was the third quarter of 2026.

5 million tons of crude oil from the sea deposit Orlen Petrobaltic.

In February 2025, oil extraction from the Polish B3 deposit exceeded 5 million tons. Orlen Petrobaltic has been using them for 31 years. The deposit is located 1450 meters under the bottom of the Baltic Sea, 70 km north of Rozewie. Mining takes place from two platforms: Baltic Beta and the unmanned PG-1, which support 10 wells. The average mining is 236 tons a day, and the bed also provides gas, which will be operated until 2031.

Equinor selected a contractor for the service base in Łeba, which will support the wind farms in the Baltic.

The construction of a service base in Łeba is crucial for the Baltic 2 and 3 wind farms, implemented by Equinor and Polenergia. The contractor of the project is ERBUD, which will create a modern office space and a control center, spare parts warehouse and a waterfront for mooring. Preparatory works will start at the turn of 2024/2025, and the construction is to start in March 2025, with the planned completion in mid -2026. The base will take

1.5 hectares, with the possibility of expansion. Bałtyk 2 and Baltic 3 projects have a total power of 1440 MW and plan to start producing energy in 2027.

The first maritime wind farm in Poland is under construction. The first monopale was installed.

The first monopale was installed in the Baltic Power wind farm, which means starting the construction of the first Polish wind farm in the Baltic. The Svanen installation ship carried out this operation as planned. The installation of the monopali began at the end of January, and their total number will be 78. Monopale are steel pipes up to 100 meters long, weighing up to 1,700 tons. 15 MW turbines will be installed on them. In the next stages, elements will be installed connecting the foundations with turbines and cables exporting on the land, and the installations will last until 2026.
