Gdynia Maritime University (UMG) is the oldest state maritime university in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. It educates future merchant navy officers, as well as engineering and management staff for the maritime economy and the coastal region, at bachelor's, engineer's, master's, and doctoral levels.
The university offers knowledge not only through full-time studies but also through part-time studies, postgraduate programs, MBAs, and specialized and qualification courses. The wide range of majors and specializations meets the current needs of the labor market.
The Gdynia Maritime University comprises the Faculties of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Navigation, Management and Quality Science, and the UMG Maritime Institute.
UMG meets global requirements for the education of merchant navy officers in accordance with the STCW Convention, and its Quality Management System complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and encompasses all university activities.
