Study tours

Ladies and Gentlemen!

As part of BALTEXPO 2023, we have prepared an additional attraction for exhibitors and VIP ticket holders in the form of study visits.

You could take part in a visit to the Baltic Hub Container Terminal or visit the most modern oceanographic vessel of the University of Gdańsk in Poland.

We provided transport by dedicated buses directly from the fair venue – AMBEREXPO.

Baltic Hub Container Terminal

Baltic Hub Container Terminal Sp. z o.o. (BHCT) is Poland’s fastest-growing container terminal and the only deep-water terminal in the Baltic Sea region that directly receives ships from the Far East. The terminal is located in the heart of the Baltic Sea – in the Port of Gdansk.

BHCT handles Polish imports, exports, transit and sea transit. Thanks to good access from the sea, lack of ice, excellent operational capabilities and investments in infrastructure made by the Polish government and the city of Gdansk, BHCT is very well connected to cargo destinations located inland and is a natural gateway to Central and Eastern Europe for containerized trade.

Specialized oceanographic vessel Oceanograf

The R/V Oceanograf is a specialized scientific research vessel of the University of Gdansk flying the Polish flag used by scientists and students. It is the most modern scientific and research vessel in the Baltic Sea. The ship is certified for international navigation. A double-hulled catamaran-type structure, it is prepared to carry out specialized studies of the marine environment: bathymetric, biological, chemical, physical, geological, magnetic-seismoacoustic, etc.
