Dr. Mateusz Weryk, Eng., is a recognized expert in acoustics, hydroacoustics, and ship structure mechanics, whose knowledge and experience contribute to the development of innovative technologies in the maritime sector. He graduated from the Gdańsk University of Technology in 2003, specializing in sound and image engineering.
In 2014, he defended his doctorate at the Gdańsk University of Technology's Faculty of Oceanology and Ship Technology. His doctoral thesis focused on research on noise propagation on small vessels, reflecting his deep commitment to solving key acoustic problems in marine engineering.
He began his professional career as an architectural acoustics designer in 2003–2004. Then, from 2004, he joined the Ship Technology Center (CTO) in Gdańsk. At CTO, he went from a specialist in vibroacoustics, through the position of Head of the Ship Structure Mechanics Center, to managing the Environmental Research Laboratories Complex.
Dr. Weryk is an active participant in numerous research projects financed by national and EU funds, such as Floodstand and AQUO, which concern innovations in the maritime industry. His scientific achievements include publications in renowned international journals such as Marine Structures and International Shipbuilding Progress.
Since January 2024, he has served as Director of Research and Development at the Ship Technology Center. He is also involved in collaboration with the scientific sector, serving as a member of the Economic Convention at the Daniel Fahrenheit Association of Gdańsk Universities.
Through his research and advocacy for maritime science, Dr. Mateusz Weryk plays a significant role in the development of maritime technologies, bridging the gap between science and industry for innovation in shipbuilding and environmental protection.
