Rear Admiral Piotr Nieć (Polish Navy) was appointed Deputy Commander of CTF BALTIC in November 2024. Previously, he served as a military professor of strategic security studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. His most recent position within the Polish Navy was as Head of the Armaments Directorate in the Navy Inspectorate.

Rear Admiral Nieć served twice with Standing NATO Ship Group One (SNMG1). He participated in Operations OCEAN SHIELD and ACTIVE ENDEAVOUR.
