
In next year's budget, the government plans to allocate PLN 2.4 billion to the maritime economy, which is PLN 400 million more than in 2025, announced Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Arkadiusz Marchewka. Key investments include the construction of access infrastructure to the port of Świnoujście and the future container terminal, as well as to the FSRU in Gdańsk. Funds will also be allocated to the construction of training and research vessels for maritime universities in Gdynia and Szczecin. The budget also secures funding for railway projects, including the modernization of line No. 201 to the port of Gdynia.

Ocean Winds has signed an agreement with P&Q and Tele-Fonika Kable to implement key elements of the onshore infrastructure of the BC-Wind wind farm. P&Q is responsible for the construction of the onshore cable support, while Tele-Fonika Kable will supply 23 km of 275 kV high-voltage cables and accessories, manufactured at the Bydgoszcz plant. The investment covers approximately 8 km from Choczewo to the substation, with construction commencing in 2026.

Famor has signed an agreement with Saab concerning joint activities under the "Orka" program, which aims to acquire new submarines for the Polish Navy. The partnership paves the way for Polish companies to participate in the supply of equipment for Saab's vessels. The companies have been collaborating for years, including on the A26 submarine program for the Swedish Navy and on signals intelligence (SIGINT) vessels for Poland. Famor, present in the market for over 70 years, specializes in lighting and naval equipment, while Saab is a global defense company developing maritime and aviation technologies.

The Rostrum Optima, loaded with coal, and the 169-meter Matin Bey, which delivered steel products. Thanks to modern Liebherr 550 cranes and dust reduction systems, coal unloading is efficient and environmentally friendly. Steel slab handling, in turn, reaches a rate of 6,000 tons per day. Port of Gdańsk Eksploatacja, as the largest terminal in the Inner Port, is strengthening its competitiveness through the expansion of its rail infrastructure and storage yards.

Austrian company Palfinger Marine will equip the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm with 107 fully electric service cranes. The units will be mounted on the platforms of each Siemens Gamesa 14 MW-222 turbine, enabling the safe transport of parts during maintenance and repairs. Deliveries will begin in September 2025 and continue until March 2026. Baltica 2, jointly developed by PGE and Ørsted 40 km from Ustka, will have a capacity of 1.5 GW and will be one of the largest wind farms in Central Europe. Installation of the turbines is scheduled for 2027, with full commissioning in 2028. The project will strengthen Poland's energy transition and generate thousands of jobs.
