The Lighthouses of the Maritime Economy were presented for the second time. The statuettes were created by the renowned Gdańsk sculptor Stanisław Szwechowicz. Cast in bronze, they depict a lighthouse standing against high waves.
This year, the editorial committee of Gospodarka Morska decided to award six lighthouses. Arkadiusz Marchewka, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure, attended the awards ceremony.
The Gdańsk International Fair SA was recognized for "Organizing the BALTEXPO trade fair and promoting the Polish maritime economy on international markets." Andrzej Bojanowski, President of the Management Board, accepted the award
