PŻB Offshore will order CTV from a Polish shipyard

PŻB Offshore plans to build modern CTV vessels in collaboration with the Szczecin Shipyard "Wulkan" and Elektryka Morska. Together, they are finalizing the design of the vessel, the construction of which is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025. The company is also strengthening its operational cooperation with BOTA Green Offshore, with whom it is gaining experience and already implementing its first international contracts. These partnerships are crucial to strengthening PŻB Offshore's position in the domestic and European markets.

Adam Leszkiewicz, the new president of the Polish Armaments Group

Adam Leszkiewicz, the current CEO of Grupa Azoty, became the new CEO of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (Polish Armaments Group) on May 12th. He resigned from his position at Azoty on May 9th, without providing a reason. During his tenure, the company's financial results improved and a business transformation program was implemented. PGZ is counting on his experience in developing ammunition production and strengthening the Polish arms industry.

Baltic Hub T3: Construction nearing completion

Construction of the T3 terminal at the Baltic Hub has reached an advanced stage, with 89% of the work completed. Four of the seven STS cranes and six of the 16 aRMG cranes have been commissioned, and additional equipment is undergoing testing and assembly. Key technical installations, including fire protection and energy systems, are also complete. The project, implemented by Budimex, is progressing according to schedule, increasing the terminal's future capacity and efficiency.

Expanding support for inland navigation

The government plans to amend the Inland Navigation Support Act, which is intended to increase the system's efficiency and stimulate investment in fleet modernization. The changes include extending preferential loans to already purchased or modernized vessels and increasing the scope of loan write-offs linked to innovation

The new regulations also provide subsidies for schools educating specialists and changes to the operation of the Inland Navigation Council. The bill is scheduled to be considered by the Council of Ministers in the first quarter of 2026.

Polish companies will implement key elements of the FSRU project in the Gulf of Gdańsk

Gaz-System has completed the tender for the offshore portion of the FSRU project in the Gulf of Gdańsk, which will be primarily implemented by Polish companies. A Polish-Turkish consortium, comprising GAP Insaat, Unitek Insaat, and Fabe Polska, will be responsible for the construction of the berthing and mooring quay, the offshore pipeline, and the infrastructure required to operate the regasification unit. Work on both offshore and onshore is progressing smoothly, with Polish subcontractors performing 70% of the work. In 2024, supply and service agreements worth PLN 1.8 billion were signed with Polish contractors. Completion of the FSRU terminal is planned for the first quarter of 2028.
